This is the Rainbow Gumballs Shawl. Even though I'm calling those circles gumballs, doesn't this look like a yo-yo quilt? This stitch pattern could be used for lots of different projects.
I used a self-striping cake yarn from King Cole yarns. You can get it from WoolWarehouse.com or you can use any DK weight cake you like.
I would have loved to make this one a little longer but I only had two cakes of yarn for it. I've provided the multiples so you can make it as wide and long as you like.
In order to get the shawl to start and stop in the same color, I worked from the inside from one cake then from the outside on the other. It's a great way to manipulate the colors without doing any cutting and reattaching.
I hope you enjoy the pattern and I look forward to seeing your projects.
