Even if you're not thinking of holiday gifts right now, you may want to whip up some of these beanies to store for later. 

The Ribbed Skater Beanie is a beginner skill level pattern and can be made in only 1 1/2 hours. This makes it a great idea for quick gifts and charity work.

It's easy to make several and have them ready for the season. Or, maybe you have some extra yarn from another project? You'll only need 135 yards.

If you have been following me for very long, you'll know that I love crochet lace. It's so delicate and beautiful. My regular rectangle shawls are all worked in allover crochet lace stitch patterns. 

The important thing to remember, though, is that these crochet lace stitch patterns will make more than just shawls.

Try using these lace stitch patterns with a worsted size 4 weight yarn and you can make gorgeous lace throws for the sofa. They all include the stitch multiple so you can make the changes necessary for the size you want.
