I try to help people in crochet groups to find patterns they're seeking. I like supporting a love of crochet by being a 1-800-crochet help line. LOL  

One request keeps popping up: that ripple that their grandmother made in the 70s or 80s.

Rather than trying to always find a book on eBay for them, I decided to go ahead and work out the math for my own version. 

Here's the Grandma's Vintage Afghan free crochet pattern. I've written in the instructions for baby size, throw size and full afghan size.
